Teams are formed based on the number of participants registered for each level of play and the availability of volunteer coaches.

A - Minors (Combo Machine Pitch/Coach Pitch)

• Age:  5-6 year-olds. Generally Kinder and 1st Grades.
• What to expect: Single A is designed to begin the journey of learning softball fundamentals as well as some rules about how the game is played using an 11-inch "softie" softball. Game rules are modified to help develop a love of softball, while trying to maintain a game-like environment. 2-3 coaches are on the field to help during games.
• Time commitment: One practice per week, on a weeknight, and one game per week, generally on Saturday.
• Cost: $275.00 (Late registration after February 15th $325.00.) Includes visor.
• Equipment: Glove required. Cleats are recommended but not required. Players must wear helmets at bat. League provides helmets and bats to each team, but players may choose to bring their own. Little League uniform jersey is supplied, but is expected to be returned at the end of the season.

AA - Minors (Combo Machine Pitch/Player Pitch)

• Age: 6-8 year-olds. Generally 2nd and 3rd grades.
• What to expect: AA is a combination of kid pitch and a pitching machine, with a real 11-inch softball. Game rules are modified to help develop a love of softball, while trying to maintain a game-like environment. 2-3 coaches are on the field to help during games.
• Time commitment: 1-2 practices a week, with games on a weeknight and/or Saturdays.
• Cost: $275.00 (Late registration after February 15th $325.00.) Includes socks and visor.
• Equipment: 10 inch or larger softball glove, cleats, and black softball pants. Optional: personal batting helmet and softball bat. Team bats and helmets are available. Little League uniform jersey is supplied, but is expected to be returned at the end of the season.

 

AAA - Minors (Player Pitch)

• Age: 9-11 year-olds. Generally 4th and 5th grades.
• What to expect: Building on the fundamentals, players begin to specialize into 2-3 positions. Games are kid pitch from 35 feet, with an 11-inch softball, with modified rules for stealing.
• Time commitment: Approximately 2 practices and 2 games per week.
• Cost: $300.00 (Late registration after February 15th $350.00.) Includes socks and visor.
• Equipment: 10-inch or larger softball glove, cleats, and black softball pants. It is recommended that players have a fielding facemask for the pitcher and 1B/3B positions, but is not required.* Optional: personal batting helmet and softball bat. Team bats and helmets are available. Little League uniform jersey is supplied, but is expected to be returned at the end of the season.

MAJORS - (Player Pitch) 

• Age: 11-12 year-olds. Generally 6th and 7th grades, experienced 5th graders.
• What to expect: Building on existing skills and positional awareness, Majors Little League introduces girls to a more competitive environment. Kids pitch from 40 feet using a 12-inch ball and stealing is allowed.
• Time commitment: Approximately 2 practices and 2 games per week.
• Cost: $300.00 (Late registration after February 15th $350.00.) Includes socks and visor.
• Equipment: 11-inch or larger softball glove, cleats, and black softball pants. It is recommended that players have a fielding facemask for the pitcher and 1B/3B positions, but is not required.* Optional: personal batting helmet and softball bat. Team bats and helmets are available. Little League uniform jersey is supplied, but is expected to be returned at the end of the season.

 

JUNIORS - (Player Pitch)

• Age: 13-14 year-olds. Generally 7th and 8th grade. 

 

Note: to reduce registration costs and unnecessary waste we ask that all Lincoln jerseys are returned at the end of the season.

*Loaner items are available for players who need assistance in acquiring gear (gloves, helmets, bats).
